Downer is seeking a Combat Systems Engineer, specialising in Functional Performance Specifications in the Maritime domain. Join our Downer Professional Services team and contribute to delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and document functional performance specifications for maritime systems
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure requirements are defined and baselined
• Assist in the integration of various maritime system components
• Establish traceability between system specifications and overall platform requirements
• Provide technical support and take direction from senior engineering leadership

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor of Engineering from an accredited institution
• Significant experience in defence or maritime engineering
• Understanding of systems engineering processes, including EIA-632 standards
• Experience with complex requirements management tools and methodologies
• Familiarity with naval or maritime systems is highly desirable
• Hold and maintain a minimum NV1 as required by the Commonwealth
