Job summary

Islamic College of Brisbane seeks a responsible College Bus Driver for a full-time, term-time role to provide safe transport for the school community using a school-owned coach. The split shift runs 6:30am–10:30am and 1:20pm–5:00pm, with additional hours as needed for excursions or maintenance.

The ideal candidate will hold a DA and HR licence, WWC Blue Card, and demonstrate autonomy and teamwork, with a good knowledge of the local suburbs.

Qualifications

• Must hold Driver Authorisation (DA) and HR Licence.
• WWC Blue Card Registration is required.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule; mostly Monday–Friday with occasional weekend/evening work.
• Sound knowledge of surrounding suburbs and driving experience with buses/coaches.
• Willingness to assist with other duties as required.
• Be supportive of Islamic ethos, values and practices of the College.
• Access to Staff Wellbeing and Support Hub.
• Ongoing training and mentorship provided.

We are seeking a responsible College Bus Driver on a full-time basis during school term time, to provide a safe driving service for our school community in a school-owned coach. We are looking for a friendly, patient, and understanding person to join our team to support school transport.

The role is a split shift starting at 6:30am to 10:30am and 1:20pm to 5:00pm. Due to the nature of the role, additional hours may be required to fulfil the duties of the role, such as transporting students to excursions/school trips and assisting with facility maintenance as required.

Selection Criteria

• Driver Authorisation (DA) required
• HR Licence required
• WWC Blue Card Registration
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Flexibility, predominantly M-F work; however, some weekend or evening work may be required from time to time
• Sound knowledge of the surrounding suburbs
• Bus and Coach driving experience
• Willingness to assist with other duties as required
