Job summary

Mediix is seeking a Visiting Medical Officer in Intensive Care Medicine for a major regional referral hospital on the NSW Mid North Coast. You will provide specialist care for critically ill patients and lead ICU services on site.

Fellowship of FCICM and eligibility for Australian Specialist Registration are required, with on-call duties and multidisciplinary collaboration integral to the role.

Qualifications

• Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine (FCICM).
• Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as Specialist Intensive Care Physician.
• Recent clinical experience in Intensive Care Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessment and management of critically ill patients.
• Deliver intensive care services aligned with hospital capabilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Provide clinical leadership and support teamwork.
• Contribute to education, research and quality initiatives.
• Participate in on-call roster and respond on site.
