SGS Australia is seeking a hands-on Coal Technician in Australia, based in Rockhampton or Townsville. You will perform coal sampling, preparation and testing across preparation and laboratory environments, following Australian/International standards.

The role is FIFO 7/7 with day/night rotations and requires safety focus and reliability. This entry-level position offers on-the-job training within a global organisation, with opportunities to grow technical capability in coal analysis and

Formación

• Entry level opportunity in mining and resources, with emphasis on safety and hands-on learning.
• Coal sampling, preparation and testing experience preferred but not essential.
• Must be based in or willing to base out of Rockhampton or Townsville; FIFO 7/7 roster.

Responsabilidades

• Work across preparation and laboratory operations with hands-on duties.
• Collect and handle coal samples from CHPP and train load-out operations.
• Prepare and analyse coal samples following site procedures and standards.
• Communicate priorities and tasks across shift teams to keep operations running.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workplace and follow safety practices.
