Located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay in Queensland's Bowen Basin, Coppabella Mine is a key Peabody operation producing premium pulverized coal injection (PCI) coal for steelmaking customers around the world.
An exciting opportunity exists for a Coal Quality Logistics Coordinator to join the Technical Services team at Coppabella Mine. Reporting to the Coal Quality & Logistics Superintendent, this role plays a critical part in supporting site operations by helping ensure coal quality and quantity consistently meet contractual specifications.
This is a niche, hybrid professional role sitting at the intersection of coal quality, logistics, CHPP operations, stockpile management and technical services. It is ideal for someone who understands how coal moves through the value chain and enjoys working across multiple teams to solve operational problems, optimise product value and support reliable delivery to customers.
You may come from an experienced geology background, a coal quality laboratory environment, CHPP or washplant operations, or a logistics background involving train or vessel scheduling. The leader for this function has come from a geology background, so the team understands the value of transferable technical experience and the importance of developing deeper coal value chain expertise.
This position is offered on a 9 day fortnight roster, working Monday to Friday one week and Monday to Thursday the following week, giving you every second Friday off.
