Job summary
Based in Australia, Bureau Veritas's coal laboratory team seeks a dedicated lab professional to process exploration and production coal samples and perform sanctioned tests. You will work under supervision to deliver accurate physicochemical analyses and support CHPP-related testing within ISO and ASTM standards.
The role requires careful adherence to safety policies, contributing to environmental goals, and planning test work to meet project priorities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience preferably within a coal mining operation.
- Experience in coal sampling, sample preparation and coal testing.
- Experience on a Mine site – on-site laboratory environment.
Responsibilities
- Comply with HSE policies and programs.
- Report client complaints, incidents and accidents promptly.
- Identify and report hazards immediately.
- Conduct physicochemical coal analysis per ISO and ASTM standards.
- Plan and schedule test work under direction of manager.
- Validate laboratory test results for accuracy.
