Job summary

Greyhound Australia Pty is seeking an experienced Coach Captain to operate iconic long-haul routes across Australia from the Sydney Operations hub. The role emphasizes safety, independent work on open roads, and delivering a calm, welcoming passenger experience from departure to arrival.

The successful candidate will hold an HR driver’s licence, a Driver’s Authority/Endorsement, and proven long-haul driving experience, with a strong safety mindset and ability to manage fatigue on rostered

Qualifications

A current HR driver’s licence.
A current Driver’s Authority / Endorsement.
Proven coach, bus or long-haul driving experience.
Strong safety mindset and fitness for duty.
Ability to manage fatigue and work across a rostered schedule.
Confidence working independently on long-haul routes and with passengers.

Responsibilities

Safely operating coaches across local and regional scheduled services.
Handling luggage and freight safely as part of scheduled services.
Completing required administration including pre-start checks, log books, fault sheets, journey records and ticketing.
Managing fatigue in line with Basic Fatigue Management requirements.
Creating a calm, confident and welcoming experience for passengers from departure to arrival.
