H W Landells Pty Ltd in Sunshine West, VIC, is hiring an experienced CNC Router & Saw Operator to join our carpentry and cabinet-making team. The role focuses on operating and maintaining advanced CNC machinery and saw equipment to deliver high‑quality custom cabinetry.

You will set up machines, interpret CAD files, monitor performance, ensure precision and adhere to safety standards while contributing to production schedules and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating CNC routers and precision saws in carpentry, cabinet-making or woodworking.
• Strong technical understanding of CNC machinery operation, tool changes and calibration.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, CAD files and production specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high quality standards.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues.
• Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Current or willingness to obtain relevant certifications in machinery operation and workplace safety.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift materials.

This is a full-time position based at our facility, offering a key opportunity to contribute to our carpentry and cabinet-making operations. You will operate and maintain advanced CNC machinery and saw equipment, playing an essential role in delivering high-quality custom and bespoke cabinetry solutions to our clients. This position is integral to our production workflow, ensuring precision, efficiency and adherence to strict quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CNC routers and precision saws in accordance with operational procedures and safety guidelines
• Set up machines, load materials, and programme cutting specifications using CAD files and technical drawings
• Monitor machine performance during operation, making real-time adjustments to ensure quality and accuracy
• Inspect finished components for defects, dimensional accuracy and surface quality before progressing to the next production stage
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating and replacing worn components
• Troubleshoot machine issues and report technical problems to supervisors or maintenance staff
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality targets
• Handle materials safely and comply with all workplace safety requirements and company policies

What we're looking for
