Job summary

Tefol Pty Ltd, based at Rutherford Workshop in NSW, is seeking an experienced Fitter/Machinist CNC Machine Operator to set up and run CNC machines and manufacture precision components to engineering drawings.

Responsibilities include programming, maintaining equipment, performing quality checks, and documenting production. Overtime and a competitive hourly rate apply in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a similar CNC milling/turning role.
• Programming ability and skills in CNC environments.
• Appropriate trade qualifications (Certificate III in Engineering or equivalent).
• Ability to prioritize competing jobs and meet deadlines and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture precision components per drawings and specs.
• Maintain CNC machines and keep a safe, efficient workshop environment.
• Build strong working relationships with team members and supervisors.
• Perform quality checks and complete production and inspection documentation to a high standard.

About the Role

Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking an experienced Fitter/Machinist CNC Machine Operator to be based at our Rutherford Workshop.

Key Duties

• set up and operate CNC machine to manufacture precision components in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, quality standards and production requirements,
• maintain CNC machine and a safe and efficient workshop environment
• Build strong working relationships with other team members
• perform quality checks and complete production and inspection documentation to a high standard

The key team members we are looking for needs:

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Programming ability and skills
• Appropriate trade qualifications (Statement of Attainment MEM30205 – Certificate III in Engineering or equivalent)
• Enjoys a large variety of work and is able to prioritise competing jobs and work to deadlines.
• Proven ability to provide quality customer service outcomes
• Proven problem-solving ability with strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Awareness of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements; and
• A strong commitment to safe work practices
