As a Metal Machinist at Precision Oxycut you will work in a production-based role across a variety of milling and turning machines. With a strong focus on efficiency and production output, the role will involve set-up, programming and operation of CNC machines for maximum optimisation while respecting job specific tolerances and specifications.
You will work with a team of skilled machinists in a supportive and goal focused environment with a hands-on approach. Interpreting drawings and specifications to determine suitable operating sequences and machine settings for a combination of different machining processes (face milling, drilling, tapping, boring, chamfering etc.).
The position involves working to our internal traceability and quality standards as part of large-scale projects, ensuring part tolerances are consistently QA checked with precision measuring tools.
With a goal of maintaining machine efficiency, you will work with the team to undertake preventative maintenance of the machines and to diagnosing and rectify machine faults with the support of service technicians when required.
