Job summary

Levett Engineering is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the reliability and continuous operation of CNC machinery in a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment. You will perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance while collaborating with production teams and external service providers.

The role requires a mechanical trade qualification, strong fault-finding skills, and the ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Understanding of preventative maintenance principles and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance on CNC machinery, tooling and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Coordinate with OEMs and service providers for major servicing as per schedules.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs and schedules.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and consumables to support maintenance.
• Conduct inspections and monitor equipment condition to identify potential issues.
• Complete maintenance records, work orders and equipment history documentation.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with health, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
