Eilbeck Heavy Machining in Ingleburn, NSW, seeks a motivated CNC Machinist Apprentice to join our team in a modern workshop. Learn to set up and operate CNC equipment, read drawings, and manufacture precision components under supervision.

This full-time apprenticeship offers on-the-job mentoring, a nationally recognised trade qualification, and exposure to large-scale projects across mining, defence, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining equipment.

• Use precision measuring instruments including micrometres, verniers and dial indicators.
• Learn CNC programming and machining processes.
• Perform quality inspections of finished components.
• Maintain machinery and work areas to a high standard.
• Follow all safety, quality and environmental procedures.
• Assist qualified machinists with the manufacture of large-scale engineering components.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiasticCNC Machinist Apprentice to join our team at our Lancaster Road facility in Ingleburn. This is an exciting opportunity to learn a highly skilled trade while working with experienced machinists and advanced CNC equipment in a modern engineering workshop.

This apprenticeship provides a pathway to a nationally recognised trade qualification and the opportunity to build a long-term career in machining and heavy engineering.

This is a workshop based role.

As a CNC Machinist Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople and learn to:

Set up and operate CNC machining equipment

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Manufacture precision components to required tolerances

Select and install tooling and work-holding equipment

Use precision measuring instruments including micrometres, verniers and dial indicators

Learn CNC programming and machining processes

Perform quality inspections of finished components

ABOUT YOU

Has a genuine interest in engineering and manufacturing

Is reliable, punctual and committed to completing an apprenticeship

Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong work ethic

Preferably completed year 12 with passes in Maths,Science and English

Possess technical problem solving skills

Have a NSW Manual drivers license

Have basic hand tool knowledge

Previous workshop experience, school-based trade programs, metalwork, engineering studies or work experience in manufacturing will be highly regarded but are not essential.
