Job summary

Google Cloud seeks a Customer Engineer to partner with technical Sales teams as an enterprise hybrid cloud SME, helping customers understand and adopt Google Cloud solutions. You will design scalable architectures, advise on integration, and guide proofs of concept while addressing technical roadblocks with clear, practical guidance.

You will engage with technical stakeholders and executives, translating business needs into proven cloud architectures, collaborating with product and engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment, or in a customer-facing role.
• Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (preferred).
• Experience with developing scalable architectures using microservice frameworks, PaaS, and container orchestration systems (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Experience with cloud-native software development methodologies and tools to support application development/deployment stages including CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins, Spinnaker, Concourse).
• Experience in advanced networking areas including Linux, SDN, network virtualization, and VPNs.

Responsibilities

• Make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and infrastructure to implement a complete solution.
• Guide assessments of existing environments and prioritize modernization roadmap.
• Define integration strategies balancing performance, reliability, and cost constraints.
• Partner with Sales and Product teams to identify, qualify, and size new opportunities.
