Job summary

Westpac is seeking a Senior Network Engineer - Cloud Networks to design, implement, operate and support high-performance cloud network infrastructure across the Westpac Group. You will drive cloud standards, automate network provisioning, and provide Level 3 support while partnering with stakeholders to deliver scalable cloud solutions.

Required skills include public cloud integration (Azure/AWS), Terraform, Python, Ansible, and Cisco certifications.

Qualifications

• Detailed understanding of integrating public cloud platforms (Azure and AWS).
• Experience administering network services and cloud networking concepts across multiple clouds.
• Proficiency in coding and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Python, Ansible, etc.).
• Public cloud certifications such as AWS Advanced Networking or Azure Network Engineer Associate.
• Cisco certifications (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE) are advantageous.
• Strong TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, VPN, and SDN knowledge; incident and problem management experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and support secure cloud network infrastructure across multiple clouds.
• Drive cloud standards and automation for scalable, reliable solutions.
• Provide Level 3 technical support and partner with stakeholders.
• Collaborate on projects using Jira and related PM tools.
