Job summary

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) is seeking a Network and Systems Engineer to develop, operate and maintain the agency’s ICT platform across cloud and on-premises environments in Canberra. You will work with Cisco-based networking, Fortinet security, and cloud services with Microsoft Azure, focusing on security-first design and reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in Cisco networking infrastructure and Fortinet security solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, operate and maintain ACMA's network infrastructure environments.
• Deliver services using Cisco ecosystem and Fortinet/other COTS products.
• Uplift Essential 8 principles within ACMA operating environment.
• Provide engineering guidance and leadership within technology domains.
• Monitor and manage network services from third-party providers.
• Troubleshoot network issues within a software-defined network framework.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for the network environment.
