Job summary

eHealth NSW is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud & Enterprise Infrastructure Services team, delivering secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across NSW Health. You will design, plan and manage deployment, analysing and improving performance while collaborating with ICT colleagues across districts.

You will work in a hybrid environment with hands-on exposure to the latest cloud technologies and best practices, supporting one of Australia’s largest health systems.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with public and private cloud services and ICT infrastructure.
• Hands-on IaC tooling and version control with best practices in cloud provisioning and configuration management.
• Proven experience with AWS and/or Azure including compute, networking, storage and identity.
• Experience building/maintaining CI/CD platforms using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions in large environments.
• Familiar with DevSecFinOps and Agile delivery in complex organisations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement to deliver outcomes in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Manage cloud platform infrastructure with focus on security, reliability, and performance.
• Develop and implement deployment strategies for cloud services with stakeholders.
• Identify automation opportunities and self-service capabilities to improve efficiency.
• Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation with the team.
• Apply data-driven analysis to resolve complex issues and improve service quality.
• Grow knowledge across cloud technologies and IaC practices to support best practice.
