Job summary

Cadence Connect is partnering with an established Brisbane organisation to recruit an experienced Cloud Engineer. This role focuses on owning enterprise cloud infrastructure in a predominantly AWS environment with Azure exposure.

You will engineer, support and continuously improve cloud platforms underpinning critical operations, balancing hands-on work with project delivery and automation to optimise infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience engineering and supporting AWS environments.
• Experience with core AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3) and networking/security.
• Exposure to Azure or hybrid cloud preferred.
• Experience with IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Scripting/automation skills in PowerShell or Python.
• Solid understanding of cloud security and access controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support enterprise AWS infrastructure with Azure exposure.
• Manage compute, networking, storage, identity, backup and DR solutions.
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation or similar.
• Create automation to streamline deployments and operations.
• Manage cloud security and IAM policies across environments.
• Monitor performance, availability and capacity, optimize where possible.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Support cloud migrations and infrastructure upgrades.
• Collaborate with security and tech teams and maintain docs.
