Macquarie Group is seeking a Cloud Engineer to bridge infrastructure and software development teams, enabling build, deploy and operation of applications in Kubernetes and GCP. You will guide cloud-native architectures, platform best practices, and help teams deliver secure, scalable solutions with a strong focus on performance and reliability.

Ideally you bring 5+ years in Cloud Engineering/DevOps, deep Kubernetes knowledge, and hands-on experience with GCP services to support Macquarie's

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering, with a strong focus on GCP.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, deployment strategies, and operational maintenance (preferably GKE).
• Hands-on experience with core GCP services (Compute, Networking, Storage, IAM, Data/Messaging).
• Proven ability to architect reliable, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
• Strong analytical skills with a track record of resolving intricate infrastructure and application deployment issues.
• Exceptional communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others succeed. You view internal developers as your primary customers and strive to provide them with the best possible platform experience.

What role will you play?

As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in bridging our infrastructure and software development teams, enabling engineers to build, deploy and operate applications successfully within our Kubernetes and GCP environments. Acting as a trusted technical partner, you will provide expert guidance on cloud-native technologies, application architecture and platform best practices, helping development teams deliver secure, scalable and reliable solutions at pace.
