Job summary

SolStak is seeking a Cloud Engineer to architect and deliver cloud-native infrastructure across sovereign Australian cloud and hybrid environments, enabling secure, scalable platforms for Defence and government mission systems.

You design landing zones, automate provisioning with Terraform and Ansible, optimise cost and resilience, embed security controls, and collaborate with engineering teams to support migration and modernisation programmes in regulated settings.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS, Azure or sovereign cloud providers in enterprise settings.
• Strong infrastructure-as-code and scripting capabilities.
• Pragmatic approach to delivery in regulated environments.
• Minimum two years of proven experience in a relevant role.
• Own GitLab instance and home lab environment (highly desirable).
• Existing Australian Government security clearance (highly desirable).
• Industry certifications (highly desirable).
