Overview

Join our Cloud Platform Delivery team as a Cloud Automation Software Engineer. In this role, you’ll be part of a global team responsible for designing, delivering, and maintaining cutting-edge automated solutions for our evolving cloud database environment. What role will you play?

In this role, you will design and implement automation solutions to streamline workflows and deliver self-service products enabling our customers to manage their cloud databases (e.g. AWS RDS, Aurora). You’ll build new and maintain existing automated capabilities that ensure performance, reliability, availability, observability and participate in an on-call roster. Leveraging your database expertise, you’ll engineer secure, scalable solutions while collaborating with teams, documenting processes and driving continuous improvement across the Database products and services supported by our team.

What you offer

• Proficient programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, Ansible and PowerShell
• Experience as an Automation Engineer with 2+ years in Python Automation
• Experience in designing and implementing automation solutions for database workflows
• Solid understanding of AWS cloud services, including RDS, Aurora, Lambda, SNS
• SRE experience will be valuable
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation and Terraform
• Ability to troubleshoot complex automation problems that require skills in reading/understanding code
• Experience with observability tools like Grafana and Splunk
• Knowledge of database platforms like PostgreSQL, Redshift, SQL Server and Oracle will be highly regarded.
