FinXL IT Professional Services is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to design and deploy Google Distributed Cloud and sovereign infrastructure for Australian Defence and national security programs.

Role focuses on GDC-hosted, air-gapped, and edge environments, with Terraform-based automation and secure Kubernetes platforms across multi-tenant architectures. Active NV1 clearance and Australian citizenship required.

Qualifikationen

• Active NV1 clearance and Australian citizenship.
• 5+ years' experience in Australian Defence or Commonwealth national security environments.
• Production-grade GKE, Kubernetes, Anthos or GDC experience.
• Strong expertise in hybrid cloud, bare-metal, SDDC, VMware, HCI or edge infrastructure.
• Hands-on Terraform and infrastructure automation experience.
• Understanding of DDIL environments, secure networking and Kubernetes security.
• Knowledge of ISM, DSPF and government security requirements.
• Strong architecture documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
• Relevant degree or equivalent practical experience.

Aufgaben

• Design and implement GDC Hosted, Air-Gapped and Edge infrastructure.
• Architect, secure and manage GKE/Kubernetes platforms in multi-tenant and disconnected environments.
• Implement Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code and GitOps workflows.
• Design resilient edge infrastructure and DR/BC solutions.
• Integrate cloud platforms with VMware, HCI and legacy Defence systems.
• Develop HLDs, LLDs, architecture decisions and runbooks.
• Apply security controls, IAM/PAM, mTLS and cryptographic key management.
• Support IRAP assessments and Defence security compliance.
