Job summary

Sense Recruitment is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect/Engineer who thrives on building enterprise cloud solutions as well as shaping the design.

In this role you’ll design secure, scalable AWS or Azure environments, build landing zones, automate deployments with Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK, and mentor internal teams. You’ll collaborate across security, infrastructure and application teams to deliver practical, production-ready outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience designing secure, scalable AWS or Azure cloud solutions for enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of landing zones, governance and architecture standards.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK and related IaC tools.

Love designing cloud solutions but still want to get your hands dirty building them? This could be right up your alley.

We're looking for an experienced Cloud Architect / Engineer who enjoys the best of both worlds – designing smart, scalable cloud solutions and getting hands-on to bring them to life.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your days producing architecture diagrams and handing everything over to someone else. We need someone who can think strategically, solve complex technical challenges and roll up their sleeves to get things done.

Working within a cloud enablement team, you'll help shape, build and improve enterprise cloud environments, while sharing your knowledge and helping internal teams grow their capability.

What you'll be getting involved in

You're an experienced cloud professional who knows their way around complex enterprise environments and enjoys finding practical solutions.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Strong experience in AWS or Azure architecture and hands-on engineering.
• A solid infrastructure background, with experience designing and delivering enterprise cloud solutions.
• Experience with cloud landing zones, networking, identity management and security.
• Hands-on skills with Terraform, CloudFormation or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation and DevOps practices.
• Experience working across cloud migrations or transformation projects.
• The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and work collaboratively with different teams.
• A willingness to mentor others and share your technical knowledge.

AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification would be highly regarded.
