Job summary

Responsibilities

• Liaise with hospital departments (wards, outpatient departments, medical records) on patient care aspects.
• Assist Research Nurse with patient study visits and clinical trial procedures (venepuncture, vital signs, ECG setup) after training.
• Enter and retrieve data using Trust electronic patient records and Microsoft Excel.
• Maintain screening logs for clinical trials and collect data via multiple methods.
• Identify suitable patients for clinical trials after appropriate training.
• Deal with telephone enquiries from patients, relatives, and staff, recording messages as needed.
• Retrieve medical records and investigation reports; perform general clerical duties like filing and photocopying.
