Job summary

UniSC Clinical Trials Centre at UniSC Sippy Downs/Brisbane sites is hiring a Contracts Administrator to support review, negotiation and finalisation of clinical trial agreements. You will coordinate approvals, perform due diligence, and maintain contract templates while working with internal teams and external partners.

You will possess a degree or diploma with relevant experience, strong ICH GCP knowledge, and excellent written communication.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a degree, or an associate diploma with at least two years of subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, training and experience.
  • Sound knowledge of ICH Good Clinical Practice and applicable regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with strong attention to detail.
  • A sound understanding of privacy principles governing health information.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • High-level digital literacy, including experience using databases and Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage documentation, workflows and competing priorities accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in triage of clinical trial contracts and agreements to assess due diligence requirements and support administrative contract management.
  • Support governance and administration of contracts from initial negotiation with external partners through to execution.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to finalise contracts, facilitate approvals and circulate documents for execution using Adobe Sign.
  • Perform due diligence reviews of contracts and coordinate reviews by UniSC Legal where appropriate.
  • Support researchers and stakeholders to understand contractual milestones and requirements.
  • Collaborate with teams across Business Development, Finance and Project Management, sponsors, CROs and vendors to support contractual processes.
  • Maintain the UniSC Clinical Trials contract template library and liaise with UniSC Legal on template updates.

The Opportunity

UniSC Clinical Trials builds the region’s collective clinical research capacity and delivers innovative and regionally relevant research in collaboration with healthcare professionals, industry partners and research stakeholders. The Clinical Trials Contracts Administrator contributes to this mission by providing administrative and governance support for the review, negotiation and finalisation of contracts and agreements that underpin high-quality clinical research across UniSC’s clinical trials network.

You will
  • assist in the triage of clinical trial contracts and agreements to assess due diligence requirements and support administrative contract management;
  • support the governance and administration of clinical trial contracts and agreements from initial negotiation with external partners through to execution;
  • provide comprehensive administrative support to finalise contracts and agreements, facilitate internal approvals and circulate documentation for execution using the Adobe Sign electronic signature platform;
  • perform due diligence reviews of contracts and agreements and, where appropriate, coordinate requests for review by UniSC Legal;
  • support researchers and internal stakeholders to understand contractual milestones, key obligations and internal requirements;
  • work collaboratively with teams across Business Development, Finance and Project Management, as well as sponsors, contract research organisations and third-party vendors, to support contractual processes and timely clinical trial establishment; and
  • support the maintenance of the UniSC Clinical Trials contract template library, including liaising with UniSC Legal regarding updates to templates as required.
About you

You are a highly organised and detail-oriented administrator with strong written communication skills and an interest in supporting clinical research. You are comfortable managing complex documentation, coordinating approval workflows and working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

You bring sound judgement, strong digital literacy and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. You enjoy working both independently and collaboratively and can contribute to efficient, compliant and well-managed contractual processes within a busy clinical trials environment.
