Job summary

Cancer Care Foundation (CCF) is seeking a Clinical Trial Coordinator to support oncology trials across the Sunshine Coast and Noosa. You will ensure trial activities align with protocols, GCP standards, and agency guidelines while collaborating with doctors, nurses, data managers and sponsor teams.

The role requires at least 1 year in a clinical trials setting, strong communication and planning skills, and Australian work rights.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical trials environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
• Australian work rights and Police Check are required.
• Familiarity with ethics/governance processes and trial documentation is advantageous.
• Experience with ECG/venipuncture and lab procedures is preferred; training will be provided.
• MS Office proficiency; EDC experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate trial activities across Sunshine Coast and Noosa centres.

Clinical Trial Coordinator - Cancer Care Foundation (CCF)

Cancer Care Foundation (CCF) was established in 2018 as a not-for-profit charity organisation dedicated to one clear purpose - creating the much-needed practical support for cancer patients to ease and improve their treatment journey so their energies are focused on getting well.

CCF manages clinical trials at multiple centres across Australia, with our Head Office located in Miranda NSW. Due to the growth of our clinical trials business, CCF requires a Clinical Trial Coordinator to work between our Sunshine Coast (Buderim) and Noosa centres, who will play a key role in oncology clinical trials. You will be responsible for ensuring that clinical trials are executed in strict accordance with study-specific protocols, GCP standards, and organisational guidelines. You will work closely with a team of doctors, nurses, clinical project managers, pharmacists, clinical trial coordinators, data managers, sponsor teams, and clinical research organisations and other external stakeholders.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Australian work rights and Police Check are required for this position.
• A minimum of 1 year experience working in a clinical trials environment, ideally as a Clinical Trial Coordinator, with a solid understanding of clinical research and GCP.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders within a multidisciplinary environment.
• Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills, with a professional, reliable, and punctual approach to work.
• Ability to adapt to changing work conditions and business needs to meet project deadlines, both autonomously and supporting colleagues.
• A high level of ownership and accountability for clinical trial execution, with the initiative to resolve issues and find solutions.
• Familiarity with ethics and governance processes and competence in preparing and submitting trial documentation is an advantage.
• Experience with clinical assessment techniques (e.g., vital signs, ECG, venepuncture) and laboratory procedures (e.g., blood and urine processing) is strongly preferred. Note, training is provided.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Prior experience in Electronic Data Capture applications is desirable.
• A tertiary qualification in medical, life sciences, nursing, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Some travel may be required but is not mandatory.
