Job summary

NSW Health in Broken Hill is seeking an administrative professional to provide timely, accurate services for the health facility and unit teams. You will handle letters, records, data entry, scheduling and reports, delivering high-quality support in a busy environment.

Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Health Administration or Office Administration or relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills including clear spelling and comprehension.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, spreadsheets and databases.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle a diverse range of tasks in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to adhere to ethical standards and NSW Health Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and accurate administrative/transactional services for the assigned work Unit.
  • Perform duties including typing of letters/policies, faxing, medical records, calls, filing, data entry and reports.
  • Carry out office administration and management tasks, stock ordering and supplies.
  • Provide administrative support to meetings, including scheduling, agendas and minute taking.

What you'll be doing

Provide timely and accurate administrative/transactional services for the assigned work Unit, Units or Health Facility.

  • Undertake administrative tasks including but not limited totyping of letters/policies, faxing, collecting medicalrecords, telephone calls, mailing, filing, recordcompilation, calendar bookings, data entry and filing, producingreports and correspondence to internal and externalstakeholders.
  • Undertake office administration and management duties, maintaining and ordering stock, stationery, and othersupplies.

Provide administrative assistance to meetings, includingscheduling, agenda and document collation, and minutecreation and dissemination.

  • Certificate III in Health Administration or Office Administration, or recent administration experience, preferably within a Healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication skills including excellent spelling and comprehension, excellent verbal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to deal confidently and courteously with patients and health professionals
  • Demonstrated experience in the MS Office Suite of applications, spreadsheet and database software, electronic scheduling and email systems.
  • Demonstrated strong organisational and time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to the defined standards of ethical and professional conduct consistent with the current NSW Health Code of Conduct and/or relevant professional standards where applicable.
