Job summary

Central Gippsland Health Service in Sale, VIC is seeking a Clinical Support Nurse or Nurse/Midwife (0.5 EFT) to join the Learning Services team. The role provides clinical education, mentorship and hands‑on support to graduate RNs, RMNs and ENs as they transition into practice across CGH sites.

The successful candidate will work closely with Graduate Coordinators to build confidence, develop clinical skills and promote best-practice care, with a strong focus on teaching and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified as a Registered Nurse or Midwife and current registration.
• Experience in clinical education or mentorship is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and support learners in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support, education and mentorship to graduate nurses and midwives.
• Collaborate with Graduate Coordinators and clinical teams across CGH sites.
• Facilitate education sessions, workshops, simulation activities and debriefing.
• Support staff to develop clinical capability, confidence and professional growth.
