Job summary

Play Matters Australia is seeking a Clinical Specialist to deliver Sing&Grow sessions for children and families, aligning with clinical manuals and funder specifications. You will create an inclusive, engaging environment and support families to meet children's needs.

Applicants should have a postgraduate music therapy qualification with relevant experience, be eligible for Australian Music Therapy Association registration, and hold a Working with Children Check.

Qualifications

  • We are seeking a passionate team player to join our Sing&Grow team.
  • Postgraduate qualification in music therapy with 2 years relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Registration or intent to register with the Australian Music Therapy Association.
  • Demonstration of core competencies in music therapy as outlined by the Australian Music Therapy Association.
  • Currently hold or are eligible to hold Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

  • Organise, plan, and deliver sessions that align with clinical manuals and funder specifications.
  • Create an inclusive, welcoming environment and communicate effectively with parents to meet children's needs.
  • Collaborate with partner organisations and maintain networks with local service providers to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Set up and pack down resources, provide guidance to Host Organisation workers, and direct families to resources outside program delivery.
  • Maintain and contribute to contemporary professional knowledge.

  • Collaborate with partner organisations and maintain networks with local service providers to enhance program effectiveness and support organizational growth.
  • Set up and pack down resources, provide guidance to Host Organisation workers, and maintain professional boundaries by directing families to appropriate resources outside program delivery.
  • Maintain and contribute to contemporary professional knowledge and respond to local inquiries to ensure the ongoing success of the sessions.

  • We are currently seeking a passionate team player to join our Sing&Grow team at Play Matters.
  • If you hold a post graduate qualification in music therapy with 2 years relevant experience or tertiary qualification/s at degree level with substantial experience this is the role for you.
  • Registration or intent to register with the Australian Music Therapy Association.
  • Demonstration of core competencies in music therapy as outlined by the Australian Music Therapy Association.
  • Currently hold or are eligible to hold Working with Children Check.
