Job summary

Nucleus Network in NSW is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse to support early-phase trials, providing high-quality patient care and accurate data collection while working across a 24/7 rotating roster. Full training will be provided and you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

You will conduct assessments, administer Investigational Products and medications, monitor participants, and ensure compliance with ICH-GCP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Registered Division 1 Nurse with AHPRA (NSW) in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience in an acute care setting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication with participants and health care professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the coordination and supervision of staff and participants within the clinical unit
• Ensuring procedures and guidelines are conducted to industry standards
• Administering Investigational Products, prescription and medications
• Providing general nursing care, monitoring patient’s well-being and taking appropriate action when necessary
• Conduct procedures such as vital signs, ECGs, blood collection, blood processing and data collection
• When required, acting as the nurse in charge and working within a higher scope of practice

We are seeking applications for full-time registered nurses. Applicants must be available to work across a 24/7 rotating roster.

About the role

Clinical Research Nurses play a key role in the delivery of early phase clinical trials, providing high-quality clinical care to participants while ensuring studies are conducted in line with protocols, ICH-GCP guidelines, and organisational procedures. You will perform clinical assessments and procedures, accurately document trial data, and support the coordination of study activities. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting in the coordination and supervision of staff and participants within the clinical unit
• Ensuring procedures and guidelines are conducted to industry standards

• Providing general nursing care, monitoring patient’s well-being and taking appropriate action when necessary

Requirements

• Registered Division 1 Nurse with AHPRA (no restrictions).
• 2 years minimum post graduate experience in an acute care setting
• Must have excellent time management skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with participants and other health care professionals
