Job summary

The Northern Territory Government's Department of Corrections seeks a psychologist to join the Clinical Rehabilitation team at Darwin Correctional Centre, Darwin. You will assess, treat, and manage complex offenders, develop program manuals, and train staff to apply evidence-based practices in a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in psychology or social work with professional registration.
• Experience in criminogenic assessment and risk management of high-risk offenders.
• Ability to conduct research and contribute to program development.

Responsibilities

• Undertake specialist assessments and deliver treatment to address criminogenic risk and psychological needs of offenders.
• Generate psychological and risk assessment reports and develop offence-specific program manuals and training packages.
• Contribute to clinical governance, ethics, evidence-based practice and inter-jurisdictional collaboration.
