Job summary

Northern Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to support young people and families facing drug and alcohol concerns within the ACACIA multidisciplinary team. This permanent role offers either full-time or part-time (job share) hours and a 38-hour week with a generous remuneration package.

You will provide specialist assessments and evidence-based interventions, collaborating across services to deliver trauma-informed, recovery-focused care.

Qualifications

  • Current AHPRA registration as Clinical Psychologist with postgraduate Masters in Clinical Psychology.
  • Experience in psychosocial assessments, counselling, therapeutic interventions, complex casework, advocacy and discharge planning.
  • Strong written/verbal communication, computer literacy, time management, prioritisation, negotiation and advocacy.

Remuneration: $59.59 - $72.64 per hour

What you'll be doing

Provide specialist assessments, evidence based psychological interventions and case management within a supportive multidisciplinary team. Work collaboratively with young people, families and services to deliver person centered, trauma informed and recovery focused care.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria
  • Current Registration with AHPRA as a Clinical Psychologist and must have a minimum postgraduate masters in Clinical Psychology.
  • Demonstrated experience and advanced clinical expertise and knowledge in comprehensive psychosocial assessments, counselling and therapeutic interventions, complex clinical casework, advocacy and discharge planning.
  • Demonstrated well developed skills in written and verbal communication, computer literacy, time management, prioritisation, negotiation and advocacy.

This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and screening for certain diseases. The full list of requirements are outlined in the NSW Health OASV Policy (Page 11). You will be required to complete the OASV Undertaking/ Declaration Form and TB Assessment Tool during the recruitment process.
