Job summary

South Metropolitan Health Service is seeking a Grade 2 Clinical Psychologist to join the Fremantle Hospital Mental Health Adult Community Treatment team. The role is a 6-month, part-time parental leave cover at 0.5 FTE (38 hours per fortnight), with potential extensions or permanency.

You will deliver clinical, consultative, educational and research psychology services across diverse client systems and provide supervision to Registrars/Trainees in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.

Position Profile and Role

Fremantle Hospital Mental Health Service is seeking a Grade 2 Clinical Psychologist to join our Adult Community Treatment team. This is a 6-month, part-time parental leave cover position at 0.5 FTE (38 hours per fortnight), with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency. Operating within a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, you will deliver clinical, consultative, educational and research psychology services across diverse client systems. This includes working with individuals, couples, families, groups, other professionals, and organisational systems. As a senior clinician, you will also provide supervision to clinical psychology Registrars/Trainees. You will ensure all professional practice complies with the Psychology Board of Australia Registration Standards and SMHS policies and guidelines. SMHS Mental Health will soon open a new state-of-the-art facility at Fremantle Hospital designed to offer expanded and modern mental health services for our community. The three-storey space will provide an additional 40 mental health beds and a 24-hour Mental Health Crisis Centre, ensuring compassionate and innovative care for those who need it most.
