The Clinical Nurse – Loans Set Coordinator provides expert perioperative nursing leadership and specialist knowledge in coordinating and booking loan instrument sets, implantable medical devices, prosthetic implants and surgical equipment required for elective surgical procedures. Based within the Central Sterilising Department at Redcliffe Hospital, the role supports the safe and efficient delivery of surgical services through effective planning, coordination and quality assurance processes.
The successful candidate will apply advanced clinical and perioperative expertise, particularly within the orthopaedic specialty, while coordinating loan instrumentation requirements across surgical services. The role also provides support and direction to nursing and non-nursing staff, contributes to quality improvement initiatives, delivers education and training, and assists with maintaining compliance with contemporary sterilisation and perioperative standards.
