Job summary

Murrumbidgee Local Health District in Hillston is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to lead nursing education, mentor staff and support evidence-based practice, delivering programs that enhance patient care.

You will assess learning needs, design and facilitate education, supervise students and new graduates, and promote professional development across the service, in a flexible hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Proven clinical teaching, education facilitation and competency assessment experience.
• Postgraduate education qualifications (or working towards) highly regarded.
• A current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel as required.
• A current Working With Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and evaluate clinical education programs for nursing staff.
• Facilitate orientation, onboarding and transition programs for staff.
• Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and support to students, novice clinicians and staff.
• Promote best practice and evidence-based care through education and role modelling.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and policy development across the service.
