Job summary

Austin Health in Melbourne is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to lead the Early Career Nurse Programs, developing and delivering education for preceptors and nursing students.

You will work with nursing leaders and education partners to enhance preceptorship practice, strengthen learning environments and build capacity across Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital and Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre. This 18-month fixed-term role includes salary packaging and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (Registered Nurse).
• Experience in a formal education role.
• Postgraduate qualifications (or working towards).
• Strong interpersonal, liaison and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, deliver and evaluate education programs within the Early Career Nurse Programs.
• Develop and deliver preceptor education, resources and professional development.
• Provide expert educational support to preceptors, learners and clinical teams.
• Collaborate with nursing leaders, education partners and clinical stakeholders to strengthen learning environments.
• Support learner development through supervision, feedback and educational initiatives.
• Contribute to workforce development, program evaluation and continuous quality improvement.
