Clinical Nurse Educator | St Stephens Hospital

Employment Term: Full Time Maximum Term Contract – 3 months with possibility of extension

Location: St Stephens Hospital, Hervey Bay

Remuneration: $64.96 phr - $73.02 phr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our St Stephens team

The Clinical Nurse Educator will coordinate the planning, development, design, delivery, evaluation and improvement of education within their allocated department/s and education portfolio to support clinicians in providing evidence based and contemporary patient focused services. The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is responsible for ensuring excellence in educational outcomes within the resource constraints of the organisation and in the context of organisational values. This position works closely with the Nursing Division to identify and meet the nursing education needs throughout the Hospital. The role reports to the Regional Education Manager, who is responsible for coordinating overall delivery of clinical education.

What makes a difference for us?
  • Significant clinical experience with greater than 3 years in an acute hospital setting
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in education ie Certificate IV workplace training and assessment or post graduate education qualifications
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NSQHSS, Qld Health Clinical Services Capability Framework training requirements and other relevant industry legislation and standards
  • Demonstrated ability and application for the development, delivery and evaluation of formal and informal education programs and understanding of current clinical educational models and applications
  • Current instructor competency for ALS / PALS is desirable
  • Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment
