Job summary

Remedy Recruitment seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in Melbourne’s north to lead a community health nursing team within a bulk-billed general practice, with Monday–Friday hours and no night or weekend shifts.

The role combines leadership with around two days of hands-on clinical care, reporting to the Manager, Medical Services, and offers public sector pay and conditions, salary packaging, and a path to service development.

Qualifications

• Track record of guiding nursing teams and lifting care standards.
• General practice or hospital/community leadership experience encouraged.
• Strong clinical assessment and emergency judgment.
• Experience with diverse communities and interpreters.
• Ability to drive system improvements with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing team with line management, supervision and development.
• Provide hands-on nursing care for ~2 days per week.
• Oversee day-to-day clinic operations, rostering and appointments.
• Lead infection prevention and medication safety across the service.
• Develop and implement new systems and initiatives for service growth.
• Support budgets, targets and reporting; participate in audits.
• Engage with GPs and external partners for community health.
