Job summary

UnitingCare Children, Young People and Families in Redcliffe is seeking a Clinical Nurse to join our community services team. You will provide nursing care in clients' homes, lead frontline staff, and ensure high quality, person-centered care that supports independence.

The role requires a Bachelor of Nursing, extensive clinical experience, and ability to mentor others. A current Australian driver's licence is essential, as is access to a roadworthy vehicle for work.

Qualifications

  • Extensive nursing experience and clinical skills relevant to community care.
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional Minimum) essential.
  • Roadworthy and insured vehicle to use for work essential.
  • Ability to liaise with the care team and provide coordinated care.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary teams and leadership/mentorship.

Being part ofour clinical nursing team within our neighbourhood structure, you will have a dedicated focus on providing nursing care and leadership, support and guidance to other care staff in the provision of quality care that promotes quality of life and enhances the ability of individuals to maintain their independence and remain within their home in the community.

Your part in our Clinical Team:

As ourClinical Nurse,you will be allocated a client portfolio and have the opportunity to lead and inspire the frontline clinical team through the provision of guidance and mentorship. The role will hone into your effective decision making and clinical experience where you will provide exceptional care whilst responding to clinical nursing issues and concerns.

What makes a difference for us:
  • Bachelor of Nursing, or equivalent qualification
  • Extensive general nursing experience and demonstrated skills reflective of clinical experience
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional Minimum) -Essential
  • Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work-Essential
  • Ability to liaise with the care team and to provide co-ordinated care
  • Confidence to manage conflict, pressures and competing priorities
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team with ability to provide leadership, support and mentorship to other team members
  • Previous community nursing experience and knowledge in community funding is highly desirable
