Job summary

SA Health – Southern Adelaide Local Health Network, Flinders Medical Centre, is seeking a Registered Midwife for the Collaborative Care team. The role supports high-risk pregnancies with a multidisciplinary approach and provides person-centred nursing/midwifery care, case management, and leadership within the unit.

Qualifications

• Registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Demonstrated commitment to consumer/family centred care.
• Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated competence in midwifery practice in accordance with relevant standards.
• Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses and less experienced registered nurses.

Responsibilities

• Provide proficient, person-centred nursing/midwifery care and/or case management.
• Monitor patient care plans to ensure outcomes.
• Oversee nursing/midwifery care within a team/unit.
• Assist and support the Midwife Unit Manager in management, clinical and education activities.
• Plan and coordinate services including those from other disciplines.
