We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented administrator to join our Bowel Cancer Screening Programme team. This Band 3 role supports clinical effectiveness audits and provides key administrative support to ensure smooth, timely, and high-quality service delivery. You will work closely with clinical and admin teams, supporting patient safety, data accuracy, and service improvement. Flexible working hours may be considered on appointment, subject to service needs.
Support clinical audits and quality improvement activities.
Manage patient bookings, records, and correspondence using BCSS and PAS systems.
Accurately enter and process patient data and feedback.
Assist in training and assessing non-registered staff under supervision.
Work with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to meet audit and governance requirements.
Prioritise tasks to support the delivery of an efficient screening service.

The Clinical Effectiveness and BCSP Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care within the Sussex Bowel Cancer Screening Programme. Working closely with both clinical and administrative teams, the post holder will contribute to audit and quality improvement activities, ensuring compliance with governance frameworks, as well as managing a range of essential administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of clinical effectiveness and audit strategies under the guidance of senior staff.
Assist with data collection, analysis, and entry for audits and service reviews, helping to identify areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate patient records using national and local systems such as BCSS, PAS, and EPR.
Manage screening appointment bookings, send correspondence, and handle patient questionnaires and feedback.
Contribute to quality assurance by ensuring documentation and processes meet JAG and QA standards.
Assist in the assessment and support of non-registered administrative staff.
Liaise effectively with internal teams (SSPs, CNSs, Consultants, Admin) and external stakeholders (GPs, partner Trusts).
Prioritise and manage workload independently, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
Attend relevant meetings and actively support the Trusts governance and clinical effectiveness agendas.
Uphold Trust values including communication, teamwork, and inclusion in all interactions.
