Job summary

The Kirby Institute at UNSW Sydney is seeking a Data Officer to manage clinical and research data within a high-performing team. You will work with REDCap, perform data cleaning, mapping and automation, and help design robust study databases.

This 1-year fixed-term, full-time position is based in Kensington, Sydney with a minimum of three days on-site, offering a base salary of $108,021 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading.

Qualifications

• Graduate biomedical science or related medical qualification with research experience.
• Experience in data management, cleaning, querying and mapping.
• Experience with REDCap database design and management; familiarity with Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
• Knowledge of ICH GCP guidelines and clinical study data handling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high-quality clinical and research data; perform data cleaning and query resolution.
• Design, develop, and maintain databases and data pipelines; assist with data transformation and reporting.
• Collaborate with study site staff to ensure accurate data entry and provide training as needed.
• Develop procedures and tools for data cleaning, building, testing and maintenance of study databases.
