Stryker is hiring a Clinical Consultant to join the Upper Extremities team in Sydney, Australia. You will be the in-theatre expert, providing technical and clinical support to surgeons and staff, and delivering training for Stryker products.

The role involves day-to-day planning and administration of clinical support, with hybrid work and a 40% travel component to travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Allied Health or related discipline.
• 1–2+ years in healthcare, clinical or patient-facing role.
• Full, unrestricted Australian driver’s licence.
• Exposure to operating theatres or surgical environments is advantageous.
• Experience with medical devices or healthcare technology is a plus.
• Confident engaging with clinicians and delivering training.

About the Role

You’ll be the go-to expert during complex Upper Extremities surgeries, providing both technical and clinical expertise to surgeons and hospital staff.

• Provide clinical in theatre support for Stryker products
• Provide training and support for hospital staff in their use of Stryker products
• Day to day and ongoing planning and administration associated with clinical support for Stryker products

We’ll provide you with thorough training to ensure you’re fully equipped to support surgical teams and deliver exceptional results.

• A bachelor's degree in Allied Health, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Nursing, Medical Science, Biomedical Engineering, Chiropractic, Osteopathy, Podiatry or a related discipline
• 1-2+ years of experience in a healthcare, clinical or patient-facing role
• Full, unrestricted Australian driver's licence
• Highly regarded but not essential Experience in operating theatres or supporting surgical environments
• Exposure to medical devices, healthcare technology or anatomy-focused roles
• Confidence engaging with clinicians and delivering training or education

Work Flexibility

• Remote – Role allows you to work the majority to 100% of time from an alternate workplace. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location.
• Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based.
• Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category.
• Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
