Queensland Government seeks a Clinical Coding Educator and Auditor to apply advanced coding expertise, mentor staff, and lead the Clinical Coding Accelerated Graduate Training Program across multiple Hospital and Health Services.

You will develop and deliver training, monitor coding accuracy and productivity, and support continuous improvement through auditing, clinician liaison and quality assurance activities.

Formación

• Diploma of Clinical Coding (or overseas qualification assessed as equivalent in Australia).
• Demonstrated ability to code and audit ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance.
• Ability to develop and implement ongoing coding quality education for graduates and team members.

Responsabilidades

What you'll doAs the Clinical Coding Educator and Auditor, you will apply advanced clinical coding expertise to accurately code complex episodes of care, ensuring compliance with Australian Coding Standards, Queensland coding rules, and Queensland Health guidelines. You will provide expert education, mentoring and auditing support to clinical coders, health information managers and graduates, leading the Clinical Coding Accelerated Graduate Training Program across multiple Hospital and Health Services. In this role, you will develop and deliver training programs, monitor coding accuracy and productivity, establish performance benchmarks, and support continuous improvement through auditing, clinician liaison and quality assurance activities. You will act as a subject matter expert, providing professional leadership and guidance within a complex multidisciplinary environment, while fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders across Queensland Health.
