You will be joining a team of dedicated Clinical Coders at John Hunter Hospital. On commencement, you will be provided with face-to-face and online training. We have a number of newly created permanent opportunites for an experienced Clinical Coder with demonstrated accuracy, productivity rate, and knowledge and experience of the Australian Coding Standards to join our skilled team on a full or part-time basis.
You will code episodes for John Hunter, Belmont, and Tomaree hospitals coding a varied and complex Casemix with John Hunter Hospital being a Major Tertiary referral centre for Trauma in Northern NSW, including all surgical specialities along with one of the three tertiary Paediatric Hospitals in NSW.
You will be coding patient records using the current version of ICD-10-AM in line with the Australian Coding Standards and correcting clinical coding errors, queries, and quality indicators (PICQ), as directed.
Remote working may be considered for applicants working within Australia with a minimum 3+ years experience.
A skills test will be undertaken at the interview to gauge the coding level and grading level of the applicant.
