Job summary

Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking experienced Clinical Coders to join a cohesive team at John Hunter Hospital. You will code episodes across multiple facilities in line with Australian Coding Standards and ICD-10-AM/ACHI guidelines.

Remote work may be considered for eligible applicants within Australia. Training and ongoing support from a coding manager and educator are provided to ensure accuracy and career growth.

Qualifications

• Proven ICD-10AM & ACHI coding qualifications and Australian Coding Standards knowledge.
• Experience coding in clinical datasets with accuracy and consistency.
• Proficiency with coding tools and hospital information systems.

Responsibilities

• Code episodes for hospitals within the district using ICD-10-AM/ACHI.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of coding to support data quality and reporting.
• Address queries and maintain compliance with AUD coding standards and PICQ indicators.
