Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Care Manager to lead the clinical operations of our aged care facility in Canberra. You will support the General Manager in delivering person-centred care, ensuring assessments, care plans and governance are consistently high quality.

You will lead a clinical team, coach staff, manage incidents and ensure compliance with AN-ACC. A Nursing degree with APHRA registration is essential, with postgrad aged care highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing with current APHRA registration.
• Postgrad qualification in aged care highly regarded.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Person-centred care mindset and empathy for residents.
• Proven track record delivering quality clinical care in aged care or acute settings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical operations of the care home and ensure residents receive high-quality care.
• Lead the care home clinical team with coaching, mentoring, staff allocations and delegation.
• Review clinical incidents and complaints, implementing risk-reducing solutions.
• Lead compliance with AN-ACC assessments and clinical governance audits.
• Manage person-centred care planning and evaluation, including case conferencing with families.
• Foster a strong team environment and provide ongoing education.
• Provide insights for continuous clinical improvement and innovation.
• Oversee medication management in line with resident needs and legislation.
• Collaborate with allied health and medical practitioners to optimise resident care.
