CSL in Melbourne is seeking an Associate Scientist to join the Clinical Bioanalysis and Biomarkers team. You will develop, validate and conduct compliant bioassays (PK, ADA, biomarkers, flow cytometry) and generate data supporting CSL’s clinical portfolio.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration, rigorous data analysis and clear communication of results to stakeholders, while adhering to regulatory standards and contributing to project progression from concept to clinical development.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Immunology, Biochemistry or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years’ laboratory experience
• Expertise in design, generation and optimisation of laboratory assays
• Strong technical skills across ligand-binding platforms, analysis software, ELN and AI
• Strong scientific problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
• Excellent record keeping and organisational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with general supervision while collaborating in a matrix team

Aufgaben

• Conduct assay development, validation and sample analysis
• Troubleshoot assays and inform on next steps during development
• Analyse experimental data using established workflows and prepare SOPs
• Support progression of projects from concept through clinical development
• Apply best practices in experimental design, data analysis and laboratory compliance (OECD GLP and ISO 17025)
• Communicate scientific results clearly to diverse stakeholders
• Support internal and external research activities, including wet-lab due diligence
• Evaluate emerging scientific trends and technologies and support integration of novel approaches
• Collaborate with CSL R&D teams, academic institutions and external collaborators to support project progression and risk management
