Job summary

GLP Gestion Pty Ltd is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Senior Project Manager in the end-to-end delivery of data centre projects. This full-time role is site based in Toowoomba, QLD, with some office collaboration.

Qualifications

• Solid project support or coordination experience within construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience expediting materials and services to keep schedules on track.
• Logistics coordination with suppliers, transport, warehousing and site deliveries.
• Familiarity with inspection activities, quality assurance, and compliance with building, safety and technical standards.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related discipline.
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and build effective relationships with contractors and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to timelines and documentation.
• Experience supporting reports, project documentation, and stakeholder updates using project management tools (Aconex/Procore).

Role Description

We're looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support the Senior Project Manager in the end-to-end delivery of data centre project for GLP Gestion. This full-time role is site based in Towoomba, QLD, with some office collaboration.

Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, you'll help coordinate planning, scheduling, and budget tracking across multiple stakeholders and vendors, and support the day-to-day running of design and construction activities. You'll assist in monitoring progress against program, tracking documentation, and helping ensure technical, safety, and regulatory requirements are consistently met.

You'll also play a hands-on role in procurement and expediting of materials and equipment, support logistics coordination and site inspections, and help track risks, issues, and change control items as they arise. This role offers genuine exposure to stakeholder communication and project reporting, with plenty of room to grow into greater project ownership over time.

What You'll Bring

• Solid project support or project coordination experience within construction or infrastructure projects, ideally within data centres or similar mission-critical facilities.
• Exposure to expediting activities, helping ensure materials, equipment, and services arrive on time to keep project schedules on track.
• An understanding of logistics coordination, including working with suppliers, transport, warehousing, and site deliveries in a construction or industrial environment.
• Familiarity with inspection activities, quality assurance, and compliance with relevant building, safety, and technical standards.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related discipline, with several years of relevant experience.
• An ability to work well within multidisciplinary teams and build effective working relationships with contractors and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail when it comes to timelines, budgets, and documentation.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, including experience supporting reports, project documentation, and stakeholder updates.
• Comfort using project management tools and software (Aconex/Procore); familiarity with data centre design or operations is a plus.
