Job summary

Bentley Recruitment in Canberra is seeking an experienced Senior Public Practice Accountant to join a growing firm. You will manage a client portfolio, provide accounting, tax and business advice, and work in a collaborative, supportive environment with hybrid work options.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in Australian public practice, degree qualified with CA/CPA preferred, strong Xero knowledge and a solid understanding of Division 7A.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in an Australian public practice accounting role.
• Degree qualified, CA/CPA preferred or currently undertaking.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Xero.
• Solid understanding of Division 7A.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and build strong, long-term relationships.
• Provide accounting, tax and general business advice.
• Review and complete tax returns and financial statements.
• Review work and provide guidance to junior team members.
• Manage client deadlines, workflow and deliverables.
• Attend client meetings and handle day-to-day client queries.
