Job summary

SEEK is seeking an experienced Working Supervisor in Cairns to lead a portfolio of commercial cleaning sites across Cairns and surrounds. This hands-on role requires coordinating cleaning teams, maintaining high standards, and delivering on-site service excellence.

You will drive site inspections, staff training, and client liaison while ensuring KPIs are met and continuous improvement is pursued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning supervision.
• Experience with carpet steam cleaning, floor polishing, pressure washing, and floor stripping/sealing.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple sites, priorities, and changing requirements.
• Willingness to work hands-on and travel between sites.
• High attention to detail and quality-control capabilities.
• Proactive and solutions-focused approach.
• Current driver’s licence.

What You Will Be Doing

• Overseeing daily cleaning operations across your allocated portfolio

• Working across multiple locations throughout Cairns and surrounding areas

• Conducting monthly site inspections and quality audits

• Supporting cleaning teams and stepping in during staffing gaps

• Training, mentoring and performance managing cleaning staff

• Responding promptly to client enquiries and resolving issues professionally

• Managing stock levels and maintaining cleaner rooms to company standards

• Ensuring compliance, reporting and operational updates are completed fortnightly

• Maintaining contract KPIs and driving continuous improvement

• Completing and assisting with periodic and specialist cleaning services, including:

  • Carpet steam cleaning

  • Floor polishing

  • Pressure washing

  • Floor stripping and sealing

• Working closely with Area Managers and the Operations team

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning supervision

• Practical experience in carpet steam cleaning, floor polishing, pressure washing, and stripping and sealing floors

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple sites, competing priorities and changing operational requirements

• Willingness to work hands‑on and travel between different locations

• High attention to detail and strong quality‑control capabilities

• A proactive and solutions‑focused approach

• Current driver's licence
